In lovely condition, these are ultra rare Tannoy Churchill ‘’Wideband’’ version . Own a piece of Tannoy history and a valuable collector’s item.

Less than 100 pairs were made between 2003-2011.
Consecutive serial #51A + 51B

100% original, no mods whatsoever.
They were intended for the North American market with more bass. Huge soundstage if you are into this, they were driven quite gently.

They’re NOT vintage and sound much much better than antique Tannoys sold at ridiculous prices.

The Churchill's strengths are wide dispersion, high efficiency, explosive dynamics and deep, taut bass. Warm and intimate sound. Can be used as near-field (tested excellent) or in large rooms.

* They’re not to be confused with the first iteration of Churchill’s which were made between 1998-2002, WITHOUT the supertweeters and with external x-overs and selling USD 14 000.

They were originally selling for USD $20 000 in 2003, and the last pairs made between 2008-2011 were USD $24 000 (CAD $30 000 + tx = $34 500).

Cabinets are a true work of art made in exquisite and ‘’matched’’ real french walnut veneer. Quite expensive extremely high craftmenship and material here. Making these today would cost well over $60-70 000.

Condition: This really clean pair has very very few minors dings if you look up extremely close, however very presentable and classy.
Note: One speakers as some sun fading, easy to fix DIY or call a touch-up specialist.

The size is somewhere between Canterbury’s and Westminster’s.

Can be driven (95db efficiency) with as little as 1 watt of tube power altough they also like big solid state power amps.
Honor them with high-end electronics, you won’t be disappointed.

-Tannoy 15" Dual Concentric Drivers.
The famous 3833GG 15" Dual Concentric drivers (very popular in lots of recording studios around the world) are used in the Tannoy Churchill as well as the CPA15, System DMT 15 and 215. It features the same HF unit as in all Prestige TW (Tulip Wave) models as well as the 15FM.

-Churchill’s embedded SuperTweeter is of the top-of-the-line T200, a 25mm 25 micron titanium dome, with 24 carat vapor deposited gold finish and neodymium magnet, internally wired for use with the Churchill.

Magnets used in the DC drivers were “Anisotropic Barium Ferrite”, a material that Tannoy claims to be more efficient than Alnico in power to weight ratio, and with a much higher coercive force to prevent demagnetization under high power or low storage temperatures.

A panel of shiny gold, user-adjustable crossover output called Custom Shelving Matrix is mounted at the back of the cabinet. Offering 4 adjustment ranges of 300-700Hz, 700 Hz-1k Hz, 1-5k Hz and 5-40k Hz, the Matrix allows an 1 dB increase in all ranges via gold thumbscrews, while a maximum reduction of 3 dB can be selected at “-1 dB”, “-2 dB” and “-3 dB” increments. In using the Matrix, the Owner’s Manual suggests that “Use as little shelving’’ as possible in each band. Try not to over compensate. This feature will help reduce some room created anomalies, but will not fix a bad room.”

Premium audiophile quality crossovers: fourth-order low-pass, second-order high-pass, at 1kHz.
Frequency response: 32Hz-20kHz, ±1.5dB.
Sensitivity: 95dB/2.83V/m.
Dispersion: 90 degrees conical.
Impedance*: Not specified but around 7 ohms as measured by Stereophile.

*I run them on the 4 Ohms amplifier taps as they sound better than on 8 Ohms. Sometimes I can swear they go down well below 20Hz with some recordings.

The high quality speaker terminals are situated at the bottom rear. Tri-wiring is possible from 3 pairs of bananas, spades or bare wires. Terminals marked “VHF“ (Very High Frequencies), “HF“ and “LF“, with jumpers provided for bi-wiring. Each speaker has a ground terminal as well, this means a total of 7 binders per speaker.

Includes one spare brand new tweeter (fits in the 15’’ DC driver), just in case.

Dimensions: 48.75" H by 22.5" W by 22.5" D.

Weight: 177 lbs (80.45kg) each.

I have enjoyed them immensely with the incredible soundstage and superb low end. Tought they were end game speakers but will eventually downgrade to smaller speakers for my listening room.

Positively NO shipping, they’d need solid boxes on a crate to ship safely however you may arrange yourself with a specialty moving company that will package and ship them to you anywhere in the world.

Quand tu commence a jouer dans la marque Tannoy qui est pas au sommet de l'excellence audio attend toi a sortir beaucoup de sous pour en être propriétaire.

Seulement pour 2 haut-parleurs tu peut débourser plus de 25 000 chacun pour les modèle de base, les Westminster était a $50 000 chacun il y a plusieurs années j'ose même pas aller voir combien ils sont rendu.

Un des mes oncle avait et doit encore les avoir 2 petit haut parleur de cette marque il avait acheter ca a l'époque ou il était musicien et que le cout de la vie était pas mal moins cher et j'ai eu la chance de les écouter jouer.

C'est une expérience audio vraiment exceptionnelle parce que tu peut augmenter le volume autant que tu veut et le son sera toujours extraordinaire, c'est conçu pour une dispersion sonore de toute beauté.

On s'entend que ce n'est pas fait pour écouter du disco mais si tu écoute du Pink Floyd du style Dark side of the moon tu va tomber a la renverse tellement le son est profond et les basse sont terrible même pour 2 petite boite de salon.

Ca ressemblait a ceci, tu met ca dans une petite pièce et tu va tomber sur le dos tellement le son est bon
